05 December 2016 Added Scientific Welcomes Austrian 3D Metal AM Delegation to Nottingham

Professor Phill Dickens of Added Scientific welcomed a delegation of Austrian industrialists to Nottingham last week. The Austrian delegation was organised by Advantage Austria to visit various Universities and Industries within the UK with metal AM process capaiblity with a misison to understand how Austria should be growing and implementing their own AM strategy. 

The delegation enjoyed a presentation on research output from the Centre for Additive Manufacturing, University of Nottingham which hosts the EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Additive Manufacturing and also a overview of the activies of Added Scientific in working with industry to exploit AM technologies.

In addition to Added Scientific and the Centre for Additive Manufacturing at the University of Nottingham, the Austrian delegation visited Iain Todd at the University of Sheffield and the AMRC, Renishaw in Stone, Staffordshire, Moatatz Atallah at the University of Birmingham, the TWI, Croft AM, LPW Technology and Mazak Coporation.
