Process Optimisation: Material Jetting and Binder Jetting
At ASL we understand inkjet technology. Our facilities include state-of-the-art 2D and 3D jetting systems, which we use for the selective deposition of materials onto substrates and the deposition of binders into powder. We also design, build and optimise application specific jetting hardware for individual client needs.
Extensive material jetting capability
At ASL we pride ourselves on our ability to make technology work for the benefit of our customers. Within the ASL laboratories and through our ‘open-access agreement’ with Nottingham University, we have access to a wide range of 2D and 3D jetting solutions. These systems allow us to jet UV and IR curable polymers, reactive chemistries such silicones and even metals. Beyond our access to commercial jetting systems, our in-house team of jetting experts, scientists and engineers allow us to build bespoke jetting solutions to address our individual client’s problems.
Optimising binder jetting processes
ASL understand the complex relationship between powders and liquids and the difficulties of jetting functional binders into often fine and unstable powders. Through our academic founders, ASL brings together a world-leading knowledge with capability in jetting onto powders, enabling us to develop systems using metals, polymers, ceramics and organic compounds including pharmaceutical excipients.
